WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY, 14 JUNE 2018
Be there for someone else. Give blood. Share life.
The Diocese of Gozo, in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Centre, Malta has lit the church of Our Lady of Lourdes, in Għajnsielem, in red, to mark the World Blood Donor Day, celebrated worldwide today, 14th June.
The Church is grateful for the many Gozitans who regularly donate blood, while inviting others to donate blood for the first time. We are also grateful for the nurses and staff who work at the new Gozo Centre of the National Blood Transfusion Service opened recently in Xewkija.
